Instances by Process Definition Interface
The following table describes the fields in the Instances by Process Definition interface in Process Instance Manager pages.
Note: The business identifiers associated with the business process model are shown in this interface. When the business identifiers associated to business process model are modified, then
- only those business identifiers associated with the latest published or deployed business process model are shown in this interface.
- only the business identifier values of the latest published or deployed business process model are displayed in this interface. However, the values of the modified business identifiers of the previous instances will not be displayed. To view those values, you can right-click the relevant instance and select Show Business Identifiers option.

Process Name |
Displays the name of the process model whose process instances you are viewing. |
Description |
Displays the description of the process model whose process instances you are viewing. |
Start Time |
Displays the date and time at which the process instance of the business process model was initiated. |
Status |
Displays the status of the process instance such as Debug, Completed, Terminated, Waiting, and Aborted. |
Type |
Displays details where from the process instance was executed. For example, Process Debugger or Run from Process Designer and so on. |

Operations in Instances by Process Definition Interface

Select Suspend to suspend the process instance. Alternatively, click |
Resume |
Select Resume to resume the execution of the process instance. Alternatively, click |

Skip Activity |
When you do not want an aborted activity to be executed again, select Skip Activity. Doing this, will ensure that the current activity is skipped and the immediate next activity is executed. Alternatively, click |
Show Graphical View |
When you want to view the flow sequence of activities in the business process graphically, select Show Graphical View. Alternatively, click |
Show Process Logs |
Process logs display the cause for errors for a specific process instance. This helps you to save time without having to view the log message from the file system. Select Show Process Logs. Alternatively, click |
Show Start Message |
Select Show Start Message. Alternatively, click |
Show End Message |
Select Show End Message. Alternatively, click |
Show/Edit Message Map |
Select Show/Select Edit Message Map to view the message map or to edit the message map. Alternatively, click |
Show Business Identifier Values |
Select Show/Select Edit Message Map to view the values of a business identifier(s) used in the process instance. Alternatively, click |
Show Message Queue |
Select Show Message Queue to view the queues for the incoming messages for the selected process instance. In the Queues for Incoming Messages - View the Queues for the process, the List View tab displays individual Receive Message for the process instance whereas, the All View tab displays all the Receive Messages that are in queue for the selected process instance. |
